1/3/11

Ran the last half of track practice in my vibrams today. I have to say, it felt really good to be able to free my feet up. However, they did not perform too well in the suicide sprints that we did. They stayed on my feet fine but quick stops felt a little awkward. I might try to get the next size down when I replace these. Also, after track I went on a 15ish minute run with a friend. Since it was cold I wore toe socks, which are an investment I would like to recommend to the cold weather runner. As long as I kept my feet dry they stayed warm. Also I would like to comment on how easily aches and pains disappear  after running in these shoes. All during practice I had to work with a tight hip flexor. After 3 minutes of running in Vibrams I had no longer noticed it and the twinge still hasn't come back. I think for the most part in track these will be racing shoes (if I do the 800) and cool down/ warm up shoes.
